I also have a fold up game cart that will hook to the back of my bike as a trailer
I agree! I use a mountain bike as much as possible. If I get lucky and spear a deer I go get the ATV. I've had fawns chase me while on the bike and also nearly ran over wild turkey.

I do about the same here. Our place is thick river bottom oak trees and brush. A couple hundred yards is a long way off the ATV path.

However, I always park in the opposite direction of where the game trails lead into my area. I also have it to where I walk in behind my stand and climb up without having to walk into the clearing in front of my feeder area.

Last year I parked a 4 wheeler withing eyesite (40 - 50 yards) of the feeder. When the deer came in they were eyeing it but never spooked and it took their eyes away from me in the stand. I think a lot of it depends on where you hunt and how much vehicle traffic they see. If its a working ranch they probably see vehicles all the time and it probable doesn't affect them much. I've heard guys that I hunt with argue about this and I don't know which is better walking in or just drive right up to the stand.

My new set up this year is about 300 yards. Well out of sight from the feeder and stand.

At our old lease, I'd always corn a bit of the area around where I was hunting by holding a freezer bag full of corn out the driver's window. I'd park the truck right next to the stand/box blind with a bunch of corn all around that area. Deer would walk right up and eat all that corn and the corn off the open tailgate.

Just for grins I threw out a some hand corn next to my truck when I came back it was all gone. I saw a doe an fawn running up the road.

about 100 yds when bow hunting, under the stand when rifle hunting and once I hunted off of my ATV and had a deer walk up to within 5 yds of me.... I don't think they care.

I would say each spot is a little different, with factors such as wind direction and the direction the deer are traveling to and from to be the most important factor in this matter.

I used to park 1/3 mila and walk in to this one stand I had, until I figured out that deer were watching me walk in to it. Next hunt I had somebody drive me right up to my stand and I killed the biggest deer that has been killed on the place. All because the deer were used to seeing the trucks come and go, not somebody walk in.

Now I have my wife drop me off at my stands mainly. I do have one stand that it on a ridge of a creek. I park like 30yrds from it. My feeder is down in the creek and the deer only come from the bottom. I killed my biggest buck to date at that stand, with my F-250 diesel right behind my blind 30yrds.
