Thanks for the input, got her on Benadryl; we'll keep an eye on it and I'll try and get a pic up.

      Spider Bite

Got bit while weeding right before we were heading to Mexico. NBD but nurse girlfriend didn't like the way it looked. It was small and then the area turned black. She lanced it and drained it best she could.

I did antibiotics because with a spider bite you have to heal it from the inside out as I understand it. It takes a long time to heal. I was bit in the 3rd week of July and it's just now about healed a month later. I would have never thunk it would take that long to heal a lil ole spider bite.

I have a whole new respect for spiders.

Good luck with getting your Lady's bite healed up.

I got whacked by a fiddle-back rock climbing, never felt a thing. Two days later I went to the Doc. Still have a hole in my leg.

It doesn't matter really, a bite from insects and Arachnids have staph.
They are going to give her a creme for staph along with maybe a shot.
Here is my leg after staph from a bite.

Yes those are gross, and leave a nasty scar/hole.

Before you get scared about spiders and bears and man eating flesh, look to see if and how many puncture wounds are in the area of the bite. if something fell from a tree and landed in her hair first, then her arm, it could be an asp that just touched her briefly on the way to the ground.

Staph or MRSA is what I will put my money on.......not many spider bites happen.

It rarely comes form bites. Over half of the population have staph. I carry MRSA in my right nostril but not my left. Get anti-bio. The creme is ok but why chance it. Bactrim or Clyndimycin(sp). are the two main ones. Vacamycin is good in an IV only, the pills wont work very good.Been there and done for the last 6 years. Dont mess around with it,keep it clean and COVERED. Bleach is good to clean up the shower and such to keep the germs from spreading.

If there's no pain I'd guess lyme but heck I'm no doctor. I'd take my wife to a real doctor this afternoon if it were me. I'd hate to be told "if you had gotten her here so many days ago, then so so would not have happened."
