What was the purpose of the "fixed" style? Just curious...

The fixed look matches the width of the headers, which can't span the entire page or they really will create scrolling headaches. The fixed look is an updated, generally considered, more attractive look.

I am a huge fan! But the best part is, if you are resistant to that much change, you can adjust it to your preference on all forums except the Main Page. We see that one staying set at "fixed".

Chew that may just be the reason I need to get an I-phone. Does it look just like it does on a regular sized monitor on your I-phone? I love the look on my home computer but I don't like the look on my BB. Everything runs up and down instead of side to side.

Yes it does. I just got the IPhone and there is a huge diffence in the website layout than my blackberry had.
