Well, I mounted this deer back in March but I've been swamped with everything but fun stuff since then. Me and my wife took a two day break from things and I took the time to finish my 9 point buck.
This deer was a young deer with huge potential. He fooled me bad, and in all honesty I should have let him walk. I wanted to do something unique with this guy so I decided to do a wall ped with a custom mesquite panel. It took me forever to make the panel, but being done with it, it was all worth it. The mesquite came from my grandpa's place, which is also where I am blessed to hunt some during the season. I cant thank him enough for the opportunities. And with the help of my awesome carpenter father, My panel was made. The pictures were taken with my moms Rebel and other than being resized and compressed are unaltered.
I know I dont have to ask for negative opinions on here and I will still receive them, but I would like to go ahead and prompt everybody to throw out any opinions they might have. Especially the fellow taxidermists on here. I have only seen a couple of yalls work and I really respect both the talent and the opinions from yall, even the humor most of the time.
I usually dont submit photos on here because of the trouble to resize and compress, but I found a nice little program that makes it very simple. The result is a lot of pixels!!
Alright, Have at it!!
