Just recieved my copy the other day. So far I have two chapters down. Good stuff so far. I really enjoyed the Primal Dreams video Mike stared in. I had the pleasure to meet Gene and Barry a couple yrs ago here in SA. I would definately recommend that all trad bow hunters check out the brothersofthebow.com website.

by Theodore Roosevelt - 1889
about when he was a rancher in the Dakotas in the late 19th century
he's an excellent descriptive writer
you can understand why he was so popular by reading his stories

almost finished with this book, I will give a quick writeup soon. Definately enjoyable. I have been in Tampa the last wk, and was going through about 3 chapters a day(too tired to do much more). I am really burning for a solo hunt in the backcountry now. If only I could through together a last minute elk hunt...Comment

ok, story in short. The book is not one entire story. Rather, every chapter details a particular hunt. Some whitetail, nalgia, moose, elk, ect.... Good chapter on Bart Schlayer. One chapter deals with the Primal Dreams video. And a chapter dedicated to Gene and Barry Wensel. I really enjoyed the book and almost decided to put together a last minute elk hunt in Colorado. Due to me not having quiet enough gear and money I will hold off until next yr. The book has many emotions throughout. Laughter, sorrow, inspiration, ect... Glad I bought and read this book. Mike definately has the personal characteristics you would hope to find in a Trad bowhunter.Comment
