Happy May Day Hunters and Shooters!
This week we go Squirrel hunting.
Draw or print two squirrels. One sitting upright and one climbing down a tree. Same paper or separate papers…no matter.
Two shots only for entire week…so get some practice in.
One shot at one squirrel one day.
Next shot another day on the next squirrel.
You choose the order of squirrels shot.
Down facing squirrel:
Adults shoot from 11 yards and kiddos shoot from 5 yards.
Upright sitting squirrel:
Adults shoot from 7 yards and kiddos shoot from 3 yards.
Shoot from any position.
Call your shot and fess up to errant shots. However…
Measure all shots to aim point of called target squirrel.
Winner will be lowest combined measure of each days shot.
To reiterate:
Day 1: shoot once at one squirrel and measure
Day 2: shoot once at other squirrel, measure, and combine measure for final total.
My inspiration:
I drew on a tree’d squirrel yesterday at about 11 yards but my arrow came unnocked as I drew and the bugger sauntered downhill and back up the backside of another tree. Im not a fan of shooting 30 feet up a tree so I let it go.
Two days prior I was working on my motor bike and a squirrel came down a tree and sat upright watching me for a minute or so at 7 yards. I have alot of large animals around so I think it was trying to figure if I was a dog, duck, donkey or cow.
Good skilling Shooters.
Yall have a great week.
God bless!
