    I now Call Him "Tripod"

I posted his pic. a few weeks ago and couldn't determine if he has two main beams or jus an odd brow tine. As he is developing, I still don't exactly know but I dubbed him "Tripod". I also noted he appears to be blind in the left eye and wonder if that is the reason for his non-typical development???

    What do you think?

Don't know if it is true or not, but I have heard that deformed antlers will be on the opposite side of the injury.

That's what I have heard myself but as you can see, his left eye is not illuminated as the right and it is consistent with all night pics. I'm not sure if the damaged eye has anything to do with antler development or not but thought it was interesting. I now wonder if he will make the 13" minimum for a legal buck??? He is at this feeder every day, several times/day and I hope he hangs around.

If he keeps eating corn everyday, chances are he will make the 13". Nice to watch any way. If he hangs around, keep us posted with more pictures.

Keep us posted. It will be neat to see how he progresses.

It is true that a deer will deform the oposite side after an injury. I have seen it and unforfunately caused it only to harvest that same deer. If the deer in the photo doesn't make the 13'' min. that would be a bummer. Now would be a good time to put up a protein feeder and try and push him over the limit. Good luck>
