    batting .500 opening weekend

Sticking with the trad bow for the season.

Opening weekend was a little warm and with the moon cover, wasn't condusive to optimal deer movement.

Sunday morning took a porcupine at around 12 yards, feeling pretty good.

Yesterday evening, right around sunset, had two nice size boar hogs come in...started feeding at 15 yards. Picture perfect setup; turned broadside, drew back, hit my anchor and release.....watched the arrow sail just under the armpit of the pig, hit a rock and fly up and smack the pig. Scared the hell out of him and he ran like a scalded ape.

Oh well....can't win them all i guess.

Look at the bright side; you didn’t have to mess with cleaning a pig!!!! [emoji38]

    Better luck next time out!

And at least you found your arrow! It took me lots of misses on live game before I stopped being jittery. Could target shoot like a champ but would send them sailing on deer and pigs. I got over it and so will you. Aim small, miss small!
