    Restoring Recurves

I have 4 older recurves that belonged to my father. I am looking to have them restored. I did a search and seen a few people have done this but they were older post. Also if possible, what would be an estimated cost to have this done?

    Bear Kodiak Magnum
    Person Predator
    Person Hunter
Another Pearson but can’t make out the name. Looks like the Bear Kodiak.

Nice bows and they look to be in pretty good shape. I’ve done several refinish jobs on older recurves and there is not much to it….2-3 hours of work per bow.

Fine steel-wool and spray oven-cleaner on the limbs will shine up the old finish and light sanding on the riser followed by a
Spray on poly finish will have them looking good.

You can lightly sand the edges if the limbs but avoid swindling on the limb “flats”.

Yes, I'd restore myself if it was me. Real easy to do!
