Were going predictive. Personally, my shots are consistently too high for WT. So as practice we will award good predictive WT drop/cantilevering for where the arrow will potentially be at a dynamic target versus a static target. We want the arrow inside the deadly V but by the time the arrow gets there, the V will have moved. There are countless variables to refute or exaggerate my assertion but those aside….
On a sheet of paper…
Draw a flagged 5” equilateral triangle.
Draw a circle 3-4” touching the triangle point with majority below triangle and no circle above triangle. Upside down peanut butter jar 3.5” circle applies if desired for facilitation.
Value the circle outside the triangle 4 points.
Value the triangle and circle overlap as 3 points.
Value the sole triangle as 2 points.
Value all shots outside triangle and circle as 1 pt.
Caveat for tie breaker:
Measure all shots in 4 pt area. (Dont measure 1, 2, or 3 point shots.)
The further the shot from the flagged triangle point the better.
For example 1/2” from point is more predictive of WT drop than is 1/4” and therefore more valuable for killing and bringing home meat. (Easily refuted or asserted.)
Shoot first shot of the day from 14 yards.
Shoot from any hunting position you have actually shot at WT from (or would if youve never shot at WT). I have never shot archery at WT from the standing and will either shoot from two knees or sitting. You do you…hunting.
Shoot as many days as possible.
Single best day point shot and furthest measure inside 4pts area wins.
Have a great week and…
