Well, here it is. The first day of the 22-23 season. I wish everyone a safe and successful season. 53 and beautiful this morning out at Sam Rayburn area. Good luck to all.
I had to miss opening weekend, but I'll be out there next weekend, God willing and I'm not coughing my head off. The pollen this season is driving me crazy!
I saw rabbits, squirrels, coyotes, hogs, and deer. The right one never presented a shot, but it sure felt good to be out there. And not sweating, I must add!
If I needed venison I'd have been slinging. If the mature bucks had made a show, I may have been slinging.
But I have a SiL and grandson to let shoot a doe this year. So I was content to be JAFO.
