I had originally wanted one but changed my mind in favor of a Nyala. After the shot, knowing he was most likely down and dead, the PH was telling Todd we'd look after dark. But I know how shatty this red sand is to blood track in and insisted we go find it then.
The fact there are Cape Buffalo in that area and that is the only water hole may have inspired me some to want to find it while still light. [emoji38]

Had a close encounter with two Nyala bulls this morning. One was out of range but the other was because I misread what the PH was trying to say. Sat most of the day and only one cow showed a long with a couple of steenbuck, that Impala and the warthog twins.
Camera is showing the regular here so if this last half hour doesn't produce one we'll be back in the morning. Last day to get it done.

No it's out of my budget range and, hell no my equipment isn't up to it.
It's something I have no desire to do

This "hide" is active so far this morning. Couple of duiker, small ones, and a nice group of Impala with a ram I hope I don't regret passing hoping the Nyala show up.

Also saw a monster Kudu walking away down a two track. And that ram came in for two drinks. I passed it again in hopes of the Nyala.
