    TBOT Classes: Selfbow vs. Composite

decorative backing of animal skin or sinew) – wood arrows only

    - Composite (all wood with no fiberglass) – wood arrows only

On the selfbow, that is correct. And by that definition, the bows with the laminated piece in the handle would also be illegal, but I know I’ve seen them shot at shoots.

On the composite they can’t specify 1 piece for a composite because it is made from several pieces of wood glued together!!!!

I guess, if you could come up with an all wood 3pc bow that was held together with a wooden peg or something like that, it would still be a composite???

Or I guess for composite they could word it like “one piece all wood laminated bow” maybe???

      Anyway you get the picture.

The technology can give a few folks an edge, but those guys are gonna beat everyone else anyway. Most guys buy the technology trying to get an edge that their lack of good form won’t allow!
