    Remembering Chester 2021....

Great shoot! Lots of rain! My EW Bateman yarn puffs sucked up a lot water. Obvious results.

What can you spray on yarn puffs to keep them dry? I've heard spray starch but have not had any rain yet to try it out.

I’ve heard camp dry spray works. I make my own 100% wool puffs and they tend to repel better than synthetic puffs. Couple plucks of the string usually cleared em up from being soaked. Churro wool puffs are supposed to be great since they contain natural lanolin.

Just like feathers, if it rains enough, you won’t keep them dry!!!!

Just like feathers, if I was gonna treat my silencers, I would use Scotchguard.

Scotchguard definitely helps!! For you guys that use pop ups, if you put them out early like I do, it really helps them to. Sun and rain doesn't seem to be so hard on them.

Not very traditional but the string leeches like compound shooters use work great. I like them much better than the wool puffs and they are water proof.
