    Almost!?!!?

I was shooting my longbow this evening and I had an arrow hit REAL close to another one (just so happened to be in the 10 ring) and make a weird noise. I went up to pull arrows and the arrows weren't even close. It wasn't till I got back to shoot again that I realized one nock was split and the rear of the arrow looked like a banana! I guess it hit the first arrow and deflected instead of penetrating. A Robin Hood with my longbow would have been awesome. I will say my groups were the best they have ever been. May not be long before the longbow is my go to bow and the wheels stay in the truck. Sure is fun!

It will happen sooner or later. Be sure to check nocks after pulling arrows. A split nock can cause a dry fire you are not careful.

I've had one RH with aluminum arrows with a recurve and several woodies split down the middle. It is an awesome feeling when you do it. Only problem is...you just spent $10.00 to $20.00 buck depending upon the type of arrows.

        Got getcha one...

Yeah it was one of my better arrows...a GT trad with turkey feathers off a bird I shot. Oh well, it was worth it.

Thanks to all but I didn't mention the range I was shooting. Let me just say it was over 10 yards...
