After reading all of the positive things about Sarrels Archery and me being in the market for a new bow I ordered one from Bob about a month ago. This was to be my first custom bow more myself and I wanted to get it made here in Texas. I called Bob, made the 2 hour drive to his shop and shot some of his bows and was very impressed. I selected the woods and gave him the specs and had it made a few pounds heavier since I had switched to left-hand after finding out I was left eye dominate and practicing with a lighter 2nd hand bow for awhile. The first time I shot it I had doubts on it being 55lbs as I was not used to that much weight. The first 4-5 days I struggled a little with the weight and after shooting it for a week started not to notice it at all and it seems as though it draws smoother and easier every time I shoot. As you can imagine my accuracy and consistency improved as well. I thought I would post pics of the bow as to say thanks to Bob and everybody else on the good advice that you gave about him and his bows. Look out turkeys! The only bad thing to come out of this is that he had to go and show me that new 3 piece longbow and how he is excited about it's performance. I have a feeling that I will be making another trip to see him in the near future!
It is a 60" Superstition #55 @ 27"
These two arrows were shot at 18 yards, and while my groups aren't always that purdy they are shrinking!
