I shot so much today that when I took my shooting glove off .I had a huge blood blister on my finger. I am not shooting to the left anymore thanks for the help guys.
Since I have been shooting my recurve (about a month) I have lost feeling in my middle finger tip. I hope it is normal. Even if I don't shoot for 3 days, my finger tip still feels like it is covered in tape all the time. It is rare to not shoot for 3 days, though. I cant seem to keep my hands off my bow. I think my wife is starting to get jealous!
Quality vs. Quantity. Choose 50-75 quality shots with full concentration over 200-300 random shots. Not saying you are doing anything wrong. It might save your fingers, though.
I'm with Pool. Looks like your diggin really hard with the tip of that middle finger somehow or another. You should'nt be numb in the finger all the time either. Might see if you can get someone who know enough to watch your release or better still get it on video and watch it in slo mo. Hope this helps.
I am new to traditional shooting as well in my 4th year. I just this year got a release that is possibly acceptable. This is my advice from one new shooter to another. Get a glove with a material that is the toughest that you can find. Change your serving to monofilament.
When I started shooting a Dura Glove on monofilament serving my release became alot cleaner and consistant. It may not help you but might be worth a try.
