    Out for a bit

I've torn something in my right shoulder. I can shoot about 3 arrows before it hurts too much to maintain form. 5 if I have a beer or two first.[emoji16] I see an orthopedic surgeon Tuesday and I'm sure an MRI and therapy will follow.
What sucks is when they worked on my back recently I told him about some tenderness and sharp pains in it and we were both hoping it was just inflammation. Unfortunately when he told me to put down the bow for a few weeks I failed to follow instructions due to my upcoming bear hunt.
Oh well. So I'll just shoot 3 to 5 arrows two or three times a week and hope for the best. As long as I can keep that first arrow where I want it at 15 yards I'm good. I can skip a season of 3D.

Don't push your luck. I had to sit out all last year for a messed up bow arm shoulder. Actually I just started back with weights about 2 months ago. Rehab sucks but it's the only way. Check out "crossover symmetry" with light bands, it did wonders for my issues and keeping my back muscles from withering away.

I had this one reworked at the end of 2012. Bicep tendon torn off (full thickness), labrum torn off and rolled up in joint, bone spurs and and couple of other tendons repaired. Four months of rehab and tough therapy. I'm not pushing anything. But in my business this is the time of year to work. I've hired a new guy and will try to avoid surgery, at least until late May . . .

The few you do shoot, make em count. That’s the way I do it when my elbow hurts too bad to shoot much. I just go out and stare at the target raising and lowering my bow. When it feels just right, let her rip! Good luck Gary.

            Hope you heal up, Gary.

Should just need one shot for that bear, though. Maybe, get one of those ground blind set-ups and shoot him a couple feet away after he sniffs your arrow....

The problem is you only get that one shot. You draw blood and the hunt is over found bear or no. So I will make a game time decision.
MRI tomorrow. Archery likely didn't cause the issue. But like this evening I worked into some good shots and then it quickly faded as once it starts to bind I lose my back tension and collapse so I keep it short.
I only plan to hunt bear once so I'd prefer to score with a trad now.

I'll cheat if I need to. The outfitter said if I can't handle a bow he'll let me use one of his rifles.[emoji106]
Something will kill one. Last time these guys went everyone drew blood.[emoji879]

You work harder than you should. Hunt more, work less.

Well shooting isn't gonna make it worse. Moderate rotator cuff tear and a partial labrum issue. No surgery for now. Woo-hoo!
Just more beer and Crown to make to ease the discomfort!
