    Arrow selection question

Hey guys, I'm new to TBH and to traditional and need a little help. I'm currently shooting a Samick Spirit II 55lbs @ 28" that I draw to 26.5". I've been shooting some gold tip nugent series 55/75's cut @ 28.5" with 4" feathers and 100gr Magnus Stingers. These arrows have shot ok but not great. I'm wondering if I need a heavier arrow and possibly a lighter spine? I've also shot some carbon express flu flu arrrows through it that I think are spined lighter and they seemed to shoot better. Do you guys think the arrow I have will work if I add some brass inserts or weight tubes or should I try a lighter spine? Also, do you get better flight using the brass inserts or the weight tubes to add weight? Thanks guys, any info is appreciated.

Try a full lenght 35/55 with about 100gr worth of added inserts

I don't like the weight tubes as I can never make them quiet, so I add either in my heads or an insert. I shoot 60# out of my ACS and I can shoot my 35/55 GT's -5" fletch and with a 200 grain tip extremely well out of it. I draw a full 28" as well.

You will get better flight and penetration with more weight forward of center (FOC). Those heads sound way to light for your setup anyways, like Ol Man I would go with much heavier heads in the 200-250 grain range on those same arrows. You can order those stingers in 150 grain and put it with a 50 grain brass insert or I use a two blade 125 grain Eclipse head glued to a 125 grain steel adapter for 250 grain total.

You may give Carbon Express a try. I've found the CX Terminator Hunter Select 45/60 with a standard 125 - 145 grain point to exceed my expectations.
