Nice job Corey. I'm sure you can drive tacks with it now.

Corey, what "grit" is that file?

What brand clear coat did you use?

I'm not well versed in files......

I'm not sure on the grit of that file Bobby. Just what I had laying around lol
As for the finish it's Valspar clear laquer high gloss in spray can.

Thanks Corey, the bows turned out really nice!

My ACS will be getting a little shave later this month.

                        LOL I know!!!

I called ACS about my bow after you posted this thread.

I'm good to go and a trim down BUT I better be careful!

Apparently the 12" risers are no longer available and ONLY 50 of them were ever made/sold!!!

                          You are a brave man!!!

I would not touch a 1200 + bow with a file... or a dremel... or anything other than 000 steel wool and some super glue.

I am however thinking of getting my feet wet on reshaping/refinishing with a $130 bow. I've shaped out a handle with a file on a board bow and lets say I am glad it was a $5 bow...

Pay me $1,200 for it and I promise I won't take a file to it!

Limited Edition ACS Longbow .... I like the sound of that.

                            You need a Longbow
