Not a good day for shooting. :(

I think I over did it yesterday. I came back in the house after the first two shots missed the target from 20 yards, and some pain in my bow shoulder and elbow, I think it's time to take a day off from it. Really chaps my hide after shooting so well yesterday.

Shoot your lighter now for a day or two.

I'll most likely haul out the 35lb Sage for some form work tomorrow.. Might shoot the 45lb Grizzly once I'm warmed up.

You got that right! This 60lb Griz is a work out. I made the mistake yesterday of shooting it longer than I should have but things felt good and I was accurate, well accurate within my limited abilities. Most of my bad luck with this is fully my own fault, no luck involved just some mistakes I've made along the way. I quickly found out that traditional archery has a very steep learning curve. I've not even hit the mid point of that curve yet and each mistake draws me back down a long ways.

I thought you were gonna say it was because it was 90 friggin degrees outside and windy as hell. That is why I aint outside. Will be much nicer in a few hours

If I had a remote chance at a pronghorn hunt, I might be out there practicing. Although I got alot of it in when I was in the car rider line, killed the engine and AC, rolled down the window.

Swamp you going to tell me that you don't practice when it's hot and windy? This is Texas and it's always hot and windy. Hogs don't wait for cool weather an no wind.

Shoot the lighter bow. I shoot my 51# a lot better than my 55#, if I was pulling a 60 I'd probably shoot like crap.

I can shoot 50-60# bows but I can shoot 45# all day with much better accuracy and consistency without the pain the higher poundage bows bring

im retired of shooting anything north of 45#, with today's modern tech in recurve and longbows theirs no point in shooting more poundage unless you really want to and can without hindering accuracy...my 44# ilf with a 503 grain arrow with hex7 limbs is spitting out 201 fps consistently...I love how technology for recurves is truly starting to come around....thank god it is, my two shoulders can't shoot 50-60# bows for longer than 10 mins

DANG man how long is your draw length?
201fps with a 500 grain arrow at #44 is something else....

Do some research on border archery , hex6 and hex7 limbs, superior archery equipment, don't think I'll ever shoot a different bow company

I don't think a 60 lb bow is a heavy bow...but I do recommend maybe to try pumping iron to get stronger. This is a much better approach than picking up a bunch of bad habits. It's really what you get used to shooting, but ya got to be able to shoot it right no matter what the poundage is. Good luck!
