Left and right variation while gap/ string walking?

Not sure how to phrase this question... I watched the video Push, as recommended and I'm trying to get set up for string crawl shooting. I have my setup rigged for 20 yards since that is where most of my shooting will occur. What I get from the video is that the arrow point should cover the impact point. Up and down I'm fine, but when I cover the center X, my arrows shoot 6-8 inches left of center. So, I have to instinctively pick a spot 6-8 inches right of center to cover with the tip.

My anchor is to the corner of my mouth.

What am I doing wrong here?

PS: the groups are consistent, but left.

    Todd

Try a thinner or softer side plate (Martin rest material).

I'm thinking this is more of a technique issue rather than setup, but I may be wrong.

If your string is under your eye and lined up with the arrow, try what I suggested. If not then get your string in front of your eye. Good luck

If you anchor to the corner of your mouth, how do you get the string in front of your eye?

my opinion here. But you wont get the results you want unless the string is almost completely in line with your eye while at full draw. Then, when you shoot, slightly cant the bow. This will get the arrow in line with your eye vertically.

I hope i typed that clearly!

Tape a toothpick or match stick to your bow window and use it like a sight until you work out your form flaws. Using your arrow as a sight you are 1. Exposing any shooting flaws you have 2. Changing your shooting style and 3. Doing them all at the same time. Do one thing at a time. First work on shooting exactly how you did before with the match stick sight and when you perfect that transition to a fixed crawl. Using a sight or the arrow tip is a sure fire way to improve your form.
