    Trying to find a value.

I have a Bear Little Bear that I got in 1965 or 66. I can't find any info on it. It is a recurve 20# @ 24" with a serial number of 954. It has an arrow rest on both sides so it can be shot right or left handed. From what I have seen, all Bear bows after 1956 ( I think ) have a medallion inlayed into the handle. This one does not have it nor does it have a place where one was. I can't even find pictures of it anywhere. I'm pretty sure my mother got it at the S&H Green Stamp store. I'll post pics later today. Anyone have any ideas on value or more info?

Most of the Little Bears sell for $100 -$125. I have been looking off and on for several years trying to find a right and a left hand model for my grandkids. My idea is that someday I will get one bought for $50 or $60. I haven't bid on any for a couple of years now and really haven't put much effort into studying them like I have the Kodiaks and Kodiak Specials. I have seen some nice ones for sale, but most of them are rather plain little bows made with domestic hardwoods. It would be a hoot to find one with Brazilian Rosewood or some other high end wood. FYI, 1959 was the first year that Bear put a medallion on any bows.

Mainly interested in value. Be hard to sell because it was my first bow. I was 7 or 8 when I got it.

Maybe $50.00. That model was a little cheaper than the Little Bear with shelf. But I live in the Bear Archery bow rich state of Michigan where bows are found on a regular basis at yard sales. I bought six bows this past summer and paid no more the $50.00 each. The Little Bear was made from 1965 to 1978.

Put a price on it and two things can happen.
