Most everything has already been said...but I would add that you were worried because the penetration on the target was half way....well half way through the chest of anything is kill for sure..and I agree that you will get a little more through tissue than foam designed to stop the arrow asap.

That being said....I have bows between 30 and 80 lbs. I seem to do well between 65 and 70, but that is a target panic issue with me. Don't judge by Buff and I...we are mutants with form issues.

Don't let him fool ya - he shoots great, just kinda messes me up how he moves all around the target area, releases and still manages to nail it every time????? Bet Chunky does it on purpose

a VERY famous archer / bowyer, here in Texas built his new wife a 28# bow
and with a weighted carbon shaft and a Woodsman heads she put one almost through a really nice buck at 12yds - the arrow was hanging by the fletchings on the other side
this was when the minimum draw weight was still 40# - so we don't say who it was....

another VERY famous archer / bowyer in Texas, now in his middle 80s shoots a 41# bow and still takes at least one deer a year when he and his son aren't crankin' out bows to meet orders
