Fletching color on bow mounted quiver.

This question is definitely geared towards those who do or have hunted with a bow mounted quiver that you don't remove.

I am debating going from dark green/black fletching to white fletching so I have something brighter flagging when I shoot at a critter.

My main concern though is getting picked off by movent that the fletching might exaggerate.

    What is yalls experience?

If you think it might be a problem just get a fletch cover.

Get a camo cover for the fletching. Problem solved.

Here's a store bought version, but it's a snap to make your own.

Dang it. You beat me by two minutes, but at least I provided some visual aids.

For deer I have black and white zebra wraps with 2 green fletchings and a white and black zebra fletch. For pigs and varmints I have yellow and black zebra wraps with 2 yellow and black zebra fletchings and a single yellow fletch. I have never had a problem with the colors being to loud and being picked off, my quiver stays on my bow when I'm hunting. Like others have said you can get a cover for them if you're worried about it. I think it all comes down to where you're at and how pressured the animals are.

I use a lot of orange. Cant blame the fletching for any of my "almost" moments.

I used to use white but believe it or not I was difficult to find arrows that were lost in the leaves while stumping. I now use chartreuse and pink. I see those colors best in the woods especially the chartreuse in low light. I've never been picked off because of fletching that I know of

Using yellow now, but they are hard to find in high grass. I would imagine orange to be similar.

I think I am buying pink next, as they should stand out, and are very similar when viewed in gray-scale(how deer supposedly see).

Best advice is to stay still and hidden, and none of this should matter.

There is white all in the trees, so I use one white and the other two turkey bared if I dont I will not find my arrow I am color blind.. The next time you hunt look all around you you will see a lot of white.

Well, I don't use a bow mounted quiver, but I do use giant white fletchings. I have never noticed that a deer spotted me or spooked because of the color.

This seems like it might be a problem, as a deer flags with it's tail as a warning. Maybe at ground level with no blind they would be an issue.

I use a bow quiver, and my arrows have flo orange wraps with white feathers. I just get the bright colors so I can find them when I miss the target though.

My carbons are the pink zebra nugents and I use Bright blue with a white fletch. I had a pair of does directly under me for quite some time this past weekend and an older 8 less then 15 yards. None of them looked at my arrows and cared what color they were or the fletchings. I keep a 5 arrow Big Jim quiver on my longbow. Just so you know I have no issues with taking a shot at either, but neither were legal in my county. the 8 was to narrow. :-(

The animals that I hunt are color blind so I use chartreuse hen and white cock . See it very well

I've read that deer are color blind and only see shades of White, Black and Gray. Turkeys are a different animal though. I use Pink and Yellow feathers because they show up really well at the shot, after the shot and you can most likely find them.
