I have six wood grain Black Hawk Vapor 4000's I want to fletch with feathers for my recurve. Gonna get Cameron to make me some copperhead skin wraps. The jig I have is a Blitzenburger with a left helical. Does right or left matter when shootin a recurve? I plan on fletching arrows with 5" shield cut feathers.

Skeeter, this is just FYI. You didn't say what poundage your new bow is so this might not be correct. The Vapor 4000's are pretty stiff arrows. I shoot a 48.6# recurve and use the Vapor 2000's. These arrows tune great for this weight. I just don't want you to put a lot of effort into making beautiful snakeskin wrapped arrows that won't tune well for your bow. Congrats on your new bow and welcome to the "Dark Side". Trad archery is great fun.

What Bisch said, I had to go with CE Heritage 150s with 270 grains up front.
...but on the feathers use a Left wing feather with a left wing jig and right wing feathers with right wing jig, doesnt matter which one you choose just match them up.Comment

gotcha. match the feather with the jig.
i was gonna use the 4000's just cuz i had me layin around the house.
low poundage, you want a weaker spine.Comment
