    All I want for Christmas

    Is reflexes like a squirrel!! Forget about cats, them dang squirrels have some kinda spidy sense or something!!
    Had several squirrels coming to eat acorns right under the tree I was hunting this evening. After about an hour I couldn't stand it anymore and pulled out the ole trusty judo point. Big fat fox squirrel was sitting on a log about 7-8 yrds away eating a big Whiteoak acorn. Facing dead away from me. I draw, pick a hair on his back, and follow through. My bow Is pretty fast and dead quiet! Perfect shot!!! EXCEPT....my arrow is stuck in the log and the dadgum squirrel is a foot away like a little furry streak of lightning!! He climbs the tree 6 ft from me and sits there at eye level for about 30 minutes trying to figure out what happend! Now all I can do is watch him and laugh inside!!
    Squirrels = 20+

    First living thing I ever shot at was a squirrel. Same exact thing happened. He waited until the arrow was about 5' from him and then dodged that thing. I couldn't believe it.

          They're fun!! I have a ton of them in my yard because of all the pecans. I've killed 4 and shot at about 4,000.

            I have killed a few stupid ones over the years.. but I have missed far more! It doesn't make any sense to me. They could be looking away eating a pecan and upon release they're sitting in a tree watching the arrow hit where they just were. Those are some quick little jokers!!!

              I'm 0-12 and 3 broken arrows on them, they really have ****** me off this season....my stand I have in a creek bottom where deer bed down, they are everywhere and it sounds like a herd of cows coming thru, but its just a bunch of tree rats making my stomach sink every 5 mins.....

                That's okay, last night, I watched as my arrow sailed within a millimeter of a squirrel's head. Worse part was I knew my arrow was a goner if I missed, but I shot anyways.

                Glad I am not the only one with the affliction.

                  Yeah, but they are fun. I went rabbit hunting today. Saw 1 rabbit through the brush but several deer. Nowadays I only carry a couple of broadheads just in case I am forced to shoot a deer, otherwise, everything is small game points and various flu-flu arrows.

                    ive had opposite results. shot three this week with my slingshot. whats getting me is them rascals are tough. haven't killed one yet. haven't hit one in the head but 2 were neck shots, one was a body shot. after the third one I ordered new rubber. supposed to be the strongest they make. we shall see.
