    Good news and bad new

My wife and I are going to be in the Austin area in a week or two and didn't have anything scheduled one of the days. I casually mentioned wanting to go somewhere a little south of Austin to look at some bows. My wife asked for more info so I told here about Bob Sarrels shop (including the prices) and told her after 4 years of shooting my Sage I'd like to start trying out bows to see what I would like to upgrade to.

The good news: the wife did not outright balk at the idea (she did on the upper end price a little but not completely)

The bad news: Bob will not be there when we are in town so I'll have to wait a few months until I get back that way.

Awesome!! If you're gonna stick with it I think it'd be a great investment. I just bought a Black Widow, and they're a little pricey...but no more than a new Matthews or Hoyt by the time you get them set up and tricked out. I sold my compound too so that paid for over half. But custom bows, made to your specs and just the way you want them are awesome...let us know what you end up getting!!

Don't know what your looking for, but I just heard of a bow Maker in San Antonio. I will be checking them out soon, I know they make long bows don't know about recurves, the Outfit is Wagstaff Archery. might give them a look.

There is no "high end" except in quality.

You get what you pay for. You can't beat a Sarrels.

Thanks! I'll take a look. Let me know what you think after you have checked them out. I really am not sure what I want. I have only shot my Sage so I am just trying out as many bows as I can to get a feel for what I want to end up with.

If you're looking at longbows I would check out Randy Madden here on TBH too. Shoot him a PM and he can give you some info
