Well I have been practicing hard and working through issues that have come up. My first Trad hunt starts Friday as I drew a coveted tag for the McAlester ammunition plant in Oklahoma.
Gear is almost packed and camo clean. Bow is shooting good and my arrows are thirsty. I haven't been this stoked in years.
I have never hunted this place so my strategy is simple, I'm going to kill a doe if possible, this guarantees a tag next year and will allow me to scout the place this year. Now if I blindly stumble onto one of the bruisers while I'm there then I will see if all my practice will pay off, and they have some sure enough monsters out there.
Wish me luck
