    Traditional FSC Week 40

We'll try to keep in the theme of visual target acquisition again this week.

    On a standard 8.5" X 11" sheet of paper:

Draw off a 4" X 4" square in the upper left corner.

Place a pin hole at the center of the 4" square.

Shoot one arrow at the 4" square from 15 yards.
    9 yards for the kiddos.

Measured from inside edge of the shaft to the pin hole.

Add 0.5" to the measurement of an arrow if outside the 4" square, yet still on paper.

Add 1.5" to the measurement of an arrow that is off paper.

Shortest measurement wins next weeks call.

In the case of a pin hole hit, measurement will be considered 0 (zero).

Well that didn't go well. I tried it first with the longbow that I borrowed from Scott and missed the paper to the left by .5" so 6" total. When I tried it with the recurve I've been shooting for months I missed by a much greater margin.

It might turn out to be a lot less terrible than you think.

Well..... from everything I've read here I need to be shooting 1.5" groups of three at 15 yards. After I missed the FSC shots with bow bows I fired several more at the same target and I'm way way off in my shooting. I've not had the time this week to devote to it and it shows.

I'll bet you a nice crispy 100 that 90 percent of us can't maintain a 1.5" group at 15 yards day in and day out!
I know I can't. Sometimes but not all the time! I was shooting 3-4" groups out to 25 yesterday. But not every group was that good.
We won't talk about how I did today!

100% totally agree with this^^^^^^. And I'll bet it is more like 99% cannot consistently stay in a 1.5" circle at 15yds!
