Bow is loud??

Man I never noticed how loud my bow is when I draw it back till this morning. I made sure my felt shelf was cleaned off but wow I need to look into something different for next weekend.

On my compound rest I lightly wet the felt at the beginning of my hunt. I don't know if that's an option with a recurve or longbow.

Funny you posted this today. I drew mine and let down just a few minutes ago to make sure I'm situated right in my blind. It's crazy how loud it sounds in here. Hopefully it will be contained and the deer won't hear it.

What shelf material? Velcro on the shelf and calf hair on the side plate is what I use and it's bout as quiet as you can get.

Mine looks like some kind of felt, or really thin leather.
