    Samick Sage Bolts

Is there anywhere in Houston to get the bolts to bolt the limbs to the riser for my Samick Sage?

I ordered some from Amazon and they were too long to hold the limbs in place.

If the thread pattern is right, why not just same down the bolts on a belt sander till you have the right length? Don't make me revoke your "bubba card"! JK hope this helps.

      That is odd

      were they these?

Are you attempting to bolt a limb that is not a sage limb to the riser? I have never heard of this type of problem before. I wouldn't have thought they would have different length bolts (no need to) unless the journey or something else takes a longer bolt.

You might check out Bowzone... they have a Joad program and I think they are using samick Polaris... so maybe they might have something. I wouldn't think a lot of places would carry extra bolts, but I would check with them, or maybe X10 archery just in case.

Just curious how much longer were they? I know some bow manufacturers offer longer bolts for bolt on quivers... but I wasn't aware that samick did that (they have all the amo accessory inserts in their riser)

How long do you need? I likely have some that will work for you.

As much as I'd love to earn my bubba patch I don't have access to a belt sander unfortunately lol!

Those are them, I tightened them down pretty good and still had maybe a quarter inch or so sticking out. The bolts themselves do not seem to be designed for the Samick Sage, at least from what I can tell, but I ordered them figuring they would work.

My hope is that I can just return them, get my money back, and find some that fit. But it may resort to this.

Roughly a quarter inch if I remember right. I looked all over for a place they may fit but the spot where the limbs bolt on seems to be by far the deepest.

I am not 100% sure actually; I will measure and send you a PM.

Go to a hardware store and find a nut with the same threads(it is probably metric). Screw it all the way up to the head as far as it will go, then take a hack saw and cut the bolt off to the length you need. Now take a file and smooth the burrs off the cut. Remove the nut and it will clean out any damage to threads almost like a threading die.

I have done this many times and it always works.

Google for a "Bolt and Screw" supplier in Houston. Houston should have more than one. These places have everything. I go to the one in Austin for things Home depot doesn't carry on a regular basis. Take the ones you have and tell them you need the same but shorter.
