    Dang rain!

Been waiting all week to go hunt tonight. Told the wife I was gonna head out around 6:30. It's a perfect wind for my favorite spot and only a 20 percent chance of rain. And wouldn't you know it it's pouring down. So now I get to go grocery shopping! Yea!!!!!
Can't wait for Sunday evening, my next opportunity to go.

Get 'em Sunday Randy! It's been so long since I have seen a pig, I'm not sure I still remember exactly what they look like!

        Good luck,

Yeah I'm about done with the rain (again). It's either a drought or a deluge. We can't seem to have something in between at all.

Had the same thing happen here. We are sitting on the boat ramp waiting to see if the storm is going to hit or miss us! Cool looking light show in the sky though!

Well, tonights bowfishing trip was a comedy of errors. First we went all the way up river, only to be chased all the way back to the boat ramp by a giant thunderstorm. We waited at the boat ramp (it never rained there), and then finally decided to put in and just try around that area and watch to see what the weather was going to do. We could not find a fish to save our lives. I did manage to shoot one little gar. Since the storms looked like they were done, and we could see stars in the sky, we decided to go back upriver. Just before we finished the cave we were in, the troller hit the bottom and I broke a shear pin. Guess who did not have an extra one in the boat?. So we decided to call it quits. I hit the navigation light switch, and yep, no front navigation light!!!!

Lessons learned. I'll have the means to fix those things the next time I go out!

This evening was a bust. When I got there I found out my feeder was clogged with a piece of corn husk. Camera revealed it hasn't thrown corn in 4 days. Sat till dark anyways with nothing showing. I'll go back in another week or so.
