Okay, looks like I'm missing the bow opener this year because I will be in Florida hunting alligator with brother and friend. I was speaking with my brother about ways to hunt and he told me his last two gators were basically taken by throwing a big treble hook across their backs, hooking them and once at the boat, head shot. I mentioned bringing a recurve to hunt one with and said that was possible, as long as I had the right set-up.
Anybody here ever hunt a gator out of an airboat with recurve, and if so, what set-up, or advice, can you provide?
