The LSBA will be setting up our archery booth at the San Antonio TTHA show again this year and I could use some help with it. I will be there from Friday, August 19th, through Sunday, August 21st. I am not going to put out a schedule of any kind, but would appreciate any help you could offer on any of the three days.
If you have never done this before, you don't know what you're missing. We will be introducing kids (or adults) to archery; many who have never had a bow in their hands before. Seeing a kid's face light up when they've popped a balloon with an arrow for the first time ever is priceless.
I encourage everyone to get involved in promoting archery/bowhunting, whether it's here or somewhere else. These kids are our future and the future of our sport depends on us teaching them and getting them involved.
If you would like to volunteer, please PM me on here, or email me at smshedd@hotmail.com.
We will also be doing another membership drive at the TTHA shows (DFW, Houston, and San Antonio) in which we will be giving away a South African Safari.
Even if you can't volunteer, please stop by the booth and say, "Hi". I'm always anxious to meet other bowhunters.
Thanks,
Steve Shedd, LSBA President
