Thank you for all the kind words. Forgot to mention that my young son and I saw this deer twice the year before, but it was beyond his effective rifle shooting distance and we were not able to get a shot. Guess I will have to find another deer for him to chase this year! Luckily this deer's runnin' buddy is still out there and is just as much a trophy.
