Browning Cobra. Turned out better that I expected. Lots of scraping, not much sanding. Think it had 4 coats that I removed. Pics don't do it justice!

That looks really good! What finish did you use?

I am about finished on three old Bears that were pretty rough. I have a thread about them on Tradgang in the History and collecting forum. My handle over there is warped arrow.

I really like restores when the finish is brittle enough to scrape. I don't scrape them but find that a light rub with 100 grit will knock most of the old finish off in a couple of hours.
I am also working on a 67 Super Kodiak and will probably start on a 58 Grizzly in the morning. It is a fun hobby bringing the old bows back.
