this will be my first year and I have heard that some of the shots are longer than most trad shooters practice. Any advise on distances would be helpful. Planning on starting to shoot out to 40 yrds this week but do not know if that is far enough

Scott, you will only see 2-3 shots past 40yds. One is a buffalo that has been known to be stretched out to 60+yds. 2 are elk that are in the 40-50yd range.

Without a doubt the most deceptive target there. I can never judge it right.

I have carried that elk off of that hill after the shoot the last 3 yrs.

If you want to practice that elk shot, you need to have about 15 guys heckling you before you shoot!

Last year a lady didn't want to go down and shoot from her stake so she shot it from the men's and nailed it

I'm gonna try to stake out a grandson at that target, have him fetch arrows for a buck each, call it our gofundme for the trip.
