    High desert stumping

Finally healthy enough to get out with my metal monster bow. Dang dry out that was for sure. I had hoped to set up my game cam over a water hole but it and a spring at another site were dry. So I took on targets of opportunity.
Here are a couple of pictures of the area.

40 paces the bow tip is the point of aim on these

    35 paces

    17 paces

A real stump at 21 paces

Here's a cowboy cabin way back in. Made with stone.

Air was very dry. I'd taken two water bladders but wish I'd taken my two liter camelback.

Nice pics, and good work on the bow. That is one crazy looking bow, but it looks like it functions just fine!

Bisch its been a fun project and got me off my butt while I was fighting the effects of the latest cancer drug. So I really enjoyed getting out and shooting again.

This is awesome!!! thanks for sharing. There is something in my heart that I love about self made, small little dwellings, especially cowboy shelters. That is very cool.

But I have to say... stumping at rocks... that has got to take a beating on your arrows... even if they are footed.

Great pics. I love that country.

Albuquerque, at least in the 80's, just ENDED, with no sprawl. BLM after that.

Best rabbit hunting I ever had.

Cancer sure sucks. My big brother, my hero, had 10 good years after diagnosis.

As the SEALs say, Ain't dead, can't quit. Prayers up, brother.
