    Flagella Longbow

If anyone is interested I have a Flagella Longbow for trade. I would definitely not say it is top quality. I took it on as a trade and ready for something else.
    Bow is Marked 63# I scaled it 61 # @ 27"

Looking for another longbow, but am open minded to most any offer.

Interesting design. Looks like he was trying for a torque-free grip, and I'm all for that.

In what way is the quality not top?

I will be as honest as possible.
The finish is the first flaw. It is streaked from to riser on both sides of both limbs (see pic of weight wrote on limb). And as for torque free maybe, but I have yet to find a way to reduce handshock. I have shot lots of different style bows and most of them I have figured one way or another to handle. This one I can't seem to get right. Lots of limb mass and not much fade toward the tips. Also the knocks are not evenly cut.
There may be a correct way to handle this bow, but I sure don't know it.

I hope this pic shows them a little better. and i could not tell you haw many arrows I have shot in the last few days, even in the rain, but it has been some serious long trial time.

Those streaks might just be the glass. There was a bad batch of streaky clear glass going around among the bowyer community the last couple of years. Some guys even stopped using clear glass all together. I think the manufacturer has finally gotten it resolved but that might be what it is instead of the finish. I'm not saying that's what it is, that's just what it looks like to me in the picture...I bet that bow design could have a lot of potential to be a good design if whoever made it gets the kinks worked out...

Thanks for your honesty, DB. Looking back at the pics, I see the flaws you mentioned.

I'll bet a guy who understood bowyering could have some fun refining that rascal.
