Certainly not trying to keep you away Jeffro, but do you know that is the same weekend as Denton TBoT? Of course, you could always come to Fredericksburg on Sat and then go to Denton on Sun!

I've never been to a trad shoot what will the average shot distance be? I'm not the best shot hate to lose all my arrows.

Every shoot is different. Most shoots will have a few really close shots, a bunch of medium range shots (like under 20yds), and a few really long shots. Most orgs that set up shoots are not doing it to run off folks, and so most are set so most everyone can at least hit the target.
