    Limb Damage?

New to recurve and just noticed this. Thinking Im still ok to shoot but just wanted to see your professional opinions. Paint or finish chiped? Probably whacked it on door frame or something. Thanks in advance for any help!

I hate to tell you this, but unless the picture is deceiving me, that glass is toast, therefore the limb is also.

Hard for me to see, but it looks like it is cracked and maybe separated some. Looks bad from my angle.

Not Good but not to bad Loctite it down I don't see damage to the wood. not something I'd buy but if you own it try to fix it.

Agree with Restless. Get Loctite 420 and clamp it. Nothing ventured nothing gained. In my opinion better to know for sure that it can't be shot then assume it can't be fixed. I have an older Herters that chipped then the limb failed. I had tried to fix it without success obviously. But on a good note I have managed to save a Pearson Rogue with glue. In my boat a 50/50 shot is worth it.

Thanks dry bones I might try that. Also when replacing a limb should you replace the other as well?

Yep, If you replace one you replace the other they are pretty much mates.

Also it is not fun to have a bow blow up an whack you. Been there done that.
