Rattling

I would have never believed it if it had not happened to me but I rattled in this Axis for my son -in-law in 2013. Don't know for sure if he was just curious or really looking for a fight but he came in with his hackles raised and eyes wild looking.

I rattled this one in for him the year before. This one was rattled in in early December.

It works! I've killed big deer but u gotta have a solid buck to doe ratio otherwise they don't really need to fight for a hot doe

I think this is a very important part of the rattling equation!!!!!

Yep, at my place we have about 5 bucks to every doe and that's why it works so well. This is also a problem because a lot of the bucks will leave to find hot does. We haven't been killing the doe's the last couple of years trying to get the numbers up and it's working as we were probably closer to 10 bucks to every doe 2 seasons ago.
