    Knee surgery in three weeks

Just made the decision, tired of jacking with this torn meniscus (sp?)....gonna scope it on October 20. The good news is, I shouldn't have a problem sliding into a popup and sitting a spell after the initial healing. The bad news is, the marsh will be off limits for a while...won't be chasing the quackers in November like I would love to, especially with all this water everywhere. I was up at the ranch this past weekend and the grass is TALL so I had planned on waiting till December to bowhunt once the grass died down some and the ducks got smart...oh well. Guess I will be chasing the deer a little sooner than I thought!

Maybe no problem getting to the blind....how about kneeling to gut a deer?
Better go with a buddy for some help.

      Good luck.

I had a complex bucket handle tear 3 years ago. better than new now. took me 3.5 weeks and I was walking 9 holes of golf. not the best idea and I should have waited 4.5 weeks but what the heck.

good luck and it is cool not having a knee that pops everytime you bend your leg.

This SHOULD be fairly minor...the MRI and the X-rays are showing no further damage than the tear BUT and that is a huge BUT...they won't know exactly what is in there till they get in with the scope. Hoping for a quick recovery. I have friends that will pitch decoys and gut deer (I usually do the lions share so they don't mind till I heal) I just have to be able to get there. I will keep yall posted and thanks for the thoughts. Later.

Good luck with the knee Bryan. Being able to hunt deer a little sooner than you planned isn't so bad.

                Take it easy,

Yeah, that Sarrels is itching to poke a hole in something other than foam!
