    One Stringer Wrap removal

    Easiest way?

    #2
    Hair dryer.

Heat em up, and pull em off.

Can't you just cut it with a knife and peel it off?

Nope. Those puppies are on there like white on rice.

Better ask the Mrs for the blow dryer then!

I just use my fletch stripping tool and acetone. I've tried the heat gun and blow dryer and it's quicker for me to just strip them off.

I cut a straight line the length of the wrap. Then just peel
                  Around the shaft.

I use a Stanley utility knife with the curved blade - just takes seconds.. wipe it down with denatured alcohol.. Voila!!-- Dano

I wipe the wrap with acetone then let it sit for about 30 seconds to loosen up. You can then peel it or scape it off with the dull side of a knife blade. I know shaft manufacturers say acetone can degrade carbon fiber but this way it is not on there long enough to do any damage. I have been using it for many years with no ill effects.

Man I'm old. I've used wood and paint so long it took me awhile to figure out what you men were talking about.

Or at least I think I know.

I'm old too. Dipped and crested a bunch of woodies.

Got to the point that with the time and money involved I passed up shots at stumps and small game.

Carbons last forever. Wraps are fast and fairly cheap. Love the reflective ones.

I tried their reflective wraps last year and was blown away at how far away you can see those things. Will definitely be using them on hunting arrows.

Not to offend anyone, but trust me Bro, you won't find an easier/better way to get them off than using a hair dryer. You can peel them right off fletching & all, and they come off slick.

Heck, I'll even do a video showing you how I do it if you want me to, but REALLY it's easy as all get out.
