    Dog chewed on arrows

Have you ever had this happen?
As it says a dog got 2 carbon arrows and chewed the feathers. As best as I can tell no damage. No visible cracks etc. and a little bending doesn't feel different or make any odd noises.
I have tried to educate myself and read about damaged carbon but don't believe these are trashed. What else can or should I do, before new feathers?
So another phase starts as fletching jig (any suggestion) will be needed and a few supplies. Any pitfalls I can avoid?
I won't leave arrows out any more, and field points didn't cause any damage but thinking what might broad heads have done OUCH!

Me personally, I would trash them. It's just two arrows and a cheap lesson. A carbon shard through your hand upon release would not be fun. JMO

When I was in HS I had a buddy who shot an "old" carbon arrow out of his Matty Switchback. The arrow exploded and turned his left hand into a carbon sharded porcupine.

Haha. His mom worked on a horse ranch here in the county and he used some numbing agent for horses to numb his hand then used a pair of needle nosed pliers to removed the shards. Hahaha. He's a member on here, CP121, wonder if he remembers that, then again, how could he forget.

I would use those shafts in the garden to prop up tomato plants. Then I would put an add in the classifieds for a free dog.

My wife left hers in the target. I told her to grab them. The next day they were crushed up. No saving them.

I use trashed arrows as a good opportunity to try out my robin hood skills. You don't loose anything when breaking already broken arrows. Aim small miss small.

I would buy new arrows and not use the chewed up ones
