    Anyone make armguards?

So is it hard to do? I've never tried working with leather. Any special tools? Examples of anyone's armguard or a company that makes a good one is a-okay with me! I've been using a cheesy 5 dollar Allen camo one and lost it some how. Tried shooting without one and bruised up my arm so I need one now.

PM austinRecurve. Chris can fix you up. He makes really nice arm guards, and he is local too.

I have that same Allen arm guard. Cheap but effective. I too am going to make my own arm guard here soon. I've seen a design that I think I like and shouldn't be too difficult to make.

I'm going to try to make an arm guard this week. It looks pretty simple to me. I was thinking about doing some with suede liners, though, and that'll require a lot of time-consuming stitching.

The main reason I'm looking at building my own is because I hate the little knots that they have on the inside of the arm and I go from wearing no sleeves to multiple thick layers so I need to have the adjustability.thats why I kept my cheesy Allen armguards so long, it had a great design. Seems like a lot of people would have these issues...

Not hard just time consuming. I put my knots on the outside. I punch two holes per corner. I run my cord from the top under and back up. Tie a good square knot on top so it doesn't dig into my arm. How long it takes all depends on how fancy you want to make it. I've used suede to line them but since have went to pigskin for my lining. Good luck and enjoy.
