Who shoots bows in the 40 to 45 pound draw weight, and what animals have you harvested. I like my 43#@27" blackwidow and I'm sure it's gonna be my new hunting bow. What's you 40 something draw weight and length and largest animal you've harvested.

48# Three Rivers Tomahawk Diamond SS for me last season, shooting cedar arrows gave me a complete pass-through and a 60-yard tracking job.
This year, I will be hunting deer with my vintage Hoyt TD-3 20" riser fitted with some TradTech Black Max recurve limbs at 47#. It's shooting lights-out for me, dropping them in the vitals of my 3D target out to 30. Chrono'd my 460 grain arrows at 180fps.
For whitetails, a quiet bow in the mid-40's will not only be a pleasure to shoot, it will absolutely get the job done with the right broadhead.
