Anyone got the scoop on McAlester discontinuing the Trad shoot and Trad hunt?

I don't know anything about the hunts being cancelled but here is a link to some info about the shoot being cancelled. I just hope it is only the shoot cancelled. I will miss being able to go to that shoot loved it there.

Man, that bites! I have been wanting to make that shoot for years, and there was always something to get in the way!

Definitely a heart breaker for sure! I already had the day on the schedule to be off. It was really more than just a shoot, it was a big family reunion more less as you could see and visit with folks who you generally only get to see maybe once a year, kinda like the Hill Country Shoot in Vanderpool.
They could absolutely move this to a new location, but it just wouldn't be the same. Sure hope once this new commander's tenure is over and a new one comes in, they can re-instate the shoot.Comment

Yea, I went to the shoot for the first time last year, top notch...and vendors galore. I was looking forward to shooting the selfbow class this year.Comment
