need help with a hoyt recurve.

I have my hoyt gamemaster 2 and the riser is cut way past center. I called hoyt to ask them what they recommended for building the riser out to shoot it off the shelf..well they gave me the run around and told me that the pad included with the bow is the right distance which its not. The arrow still points to the right a bunch. So my question is how do you tell how much past center u need since I'm going to build it out with furniture pads. Does anyone have a gamemaster 2 and can give me some advice on it. Bc I'm about to sell this stupid thing if I can't figure it out.

Lots of guys are going to give you great advice on this one. From my experience, build it till the arrows point sticks left of the string, when the strings are lined up center, about an arrow width away. Hoyt should've offered to send you another pad. They usually send another bigger one that fits pretty well

They gave me the run around. Told me that it is the correct pad. I even went to a hoyt dealer and he told me to call hoyt which I already did.

Well just add up some furniture pads then. I used a big plastic coated one from Walmart. Had to add 4 layers of felt tape over that and it set it works great

Why don't you just build the shelf up to the berger button hole, then use a bolt to adjust the center shot to where you want it?

This is the way I do all my bows now, and it works great.

Just use a wood dowel to build the shelf up, a bolt in the hole, and cover it in whatever you want to use. I use velcro.

This is legal in all venues as an off the shelf bow.

That first picture is my Hoyt Excel.

              These are my Bigfoot.

You can see that the bolt is recessed into the riser, and dose not stick out all ugly. There are actually two bolt. One is a longer bolt that does the adjusting, and then a very narrow cap bolt to lock everything down once I have it where I want it.

Here's another I did, that shows what the bolts look like outside of the riser.
I actually built the shelf on this bow using JB Weld.
